We are more than a Community Choir , we are a 'choir community' who look out for each
other SINGING WITH HEART is our motto and our ethos is about bringing joy,
friendship and fun through the medium of singing

We have performed all over the local area at a wide variety of events and gained a
reputation for our energetic , lively & heartfelt singing of well known, popular songs
guaranteed to get the toes tapping or the tears flowing (in a good way !!)​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ Our desire is to
support our local community, therefore, the charity concerts we perform are always
for the wonderful groups who support the people of North Shields.
​
Our sessions are held in the main hall of the Linskill Centre on a Monday evening 7pm - 8pm
(except for bank holidays and choir term breaks) The cost of membership to attend for a 6 week
half term is £48 (£8 per session)

JANUARY 2025 - TERM UPDATE ​​
​
As we head into our eleventh! year of singing together, we are working on a musical
presentation to celebrate 800 yearsof North Shields being a settlement.
You can expect some well known local songs as well as new material that recognises
our wonderful heritage around the banks of the Tyne.
​

We are currently taking new members, if you love to sing, can commit to weekly term
time rehearsals and would love the opportunity to perform in North Tyneside, get in touch!!

2024 FESTIVE SEASON ​​

We had a fantastic festive term culminating in concerts at The Playhouse,
Whitley Bay in aid of Age Uk, Christ Church for the local RNLI and our
Christmas Concert at the Linskill Centre with our raffle donations
going to The Bay Foodbank

​​​VOCAL WORKSHOP​
​
October 2024 saw the return of the fabulous vocal coach Dan Cooper. He facilitated
a 'Love Songs' themed workshop at The Exchange 1856 in North Shields.
It was a great day of fun, singing and friendship!

'SOME OF OUR FAVOURITE THINGS'
​
Our 2024 summer concert was another huge success. Performing a selection of some of
the songs we love the most guaranteed something for everyone. Our wonderful audience
also participated, singing along with us and learning some choreography too.

​​ROYAL QUAYS MARINA - 'BIG COMMUNITY WEEKEND' - 2024
​
On Sunday 18th August we were invited to attend a fantastic event as part of the
RNLI 200 year anniversary. We joined forces with the fabulous Backworth Male Voice Choir
to perform a range of songs at the Marina. It was so emotional singing 'Eternal Father,
Strong to Save' from the middle pier to the local RNLI boats crews.

COMMUNITY SHOWCASE - THE EXCHANGE 1856 - MAY 2024​​
​
It was an absolute privilege to be part of this wonderful community event presented and
hosted by the Happiness Company. It was a fantastic evening filled with joy, singing

'HOME' - A SONG WRITTEN FOR OUR CHOIR​​

The song 'Home' was written about our local area by Raymond Anderson with musical score by
Mike Waller. Several local photographers collaborated together to provide images of popular
